# Import Repositories

> Use the admin repository-import surface for Zenodo and National Gallery of Art bulk import workflows.

The **Import Repositories** admin page is the shared place to manage large
repository-backed imports. It starts with **Zenodo** and **National Gallery of
Art (NGA)**, and is designed so future repositories can use the same operator
surface while keeping their own run mode.

<Note>
This page is available to administrators who can run repository imports. Open it
from the account menu (top right) -> **Import repositories**.
</Note>

## Choose a repository

Use the repository picker at the top of the page:

* **Zenodo** opens the managed-import controls for the automated Zenodo OAI-PMH
  harvest.
* **National Gallery of Art** opens the durable batch controls for NGA Open Data
  imports.

The picker keeps each repository's workflow separate while keeping the page
title and navigation stable as more repositories are added.

## Zenodo managed imports

The Zenodo panel lets you configure, trigger, schedule, and monitor the
Temporal-managed Zenodo harvest from the browser. Use it when you want the
platform to run the import now or on a recurring cadence.

The panel shows:

* the current schedule state and cadence,
* the parameters used by the next run,
* the incremental watermark used for the next import,
* actions to **Run now**, **Save schedule**, or **Delete schedule**,
* recent run status and per-run detail.

See [Manage the Zenodo import (admin)](/data/zenodo-managed-import-admin) for
the full Zenodo workflow.

## National Gallery of Art bulk imports

The NGA panel lets a system administrator stage and start a durable NGA snapshot
batch from the browser. The batch uses the same `BulkImportBatch` /
`BulkImportRecord` ledger as the console workflow, so it can still be monitored,
resumed, or retried from the operator environment if the web-triggered runner
stops.

The panel accepts:

* target project, optional collection, and creator ID or email,
* classification, limit, and offset for snapshot selection,
* rate limit, runner limit, fetch timeout, and progress cadence,
* options to include existing NGA assets or refresh the snapshot before staging.

After **Stage and run**, the page shows recent batches and per-batch durable
ledger detail. The command snippets remain in the panel as the fallback path to
stage, drain, resume/retry, or inspect a batch from the console environment.

The panel also links to the interactive **Import from NGA** page for smaller
selected imports and to the detailed NGA runbook.

See [NGA bulk imports](/data/nga-bulk-imports) for the complete operator
workflow.
